WHAT IS SKINTYTE BBL?

SkinTyte BBL HEROic is a non-invasive skin tightening treatment that uses infrared light energy to heat the dermal layers of the skin and improving skin laxity. It stimulates the body’s natural healing process, boosting collagen and elastin production, which helps improve skin firmness over time. This treatment is part of the Sciton BBL HEROic platform, an updated version of traditional BBL that allows faster, more comfortable, and more effective treatments across larger areas of the body.

The procedure is suitable for all skin types and can be performed on multiple areas, including the face, neck, abdomen, arms, and thighs.

This broadband light (BBL) treatment that utilizes infrared light to heat the skin's deep layers, stimulating collagen production and improving skin laxity.

SkinTyte uses pulsed light technology to deeply heat the skin. This helps to restore the body’s collagen, improving the skin’s firmness.

The SkinTyte procedure uses infrared energy to penetrate the upper layer of skin in a targeted trouble area. This infrared energy leads to the denaturation and contraction of collagen cells, essentially disrupting the collagen in your skin. This, combined with the heat produced by the procedure, triggers the body’s natural healing process, leading to improved collagen production.

Treatment also includes a cooling process which comfortably keeps the top layer of skin chilled while deeper layers of skin are heated.

Most people see maximum results after 3 to 6 sessions spaced three weeks apart.

The results from the SkinTyte treatment can last for up to 12 months depending on your age, diet, alcohol, exercise, and skincare habits, including sun exposure. Hormone deficiencies, sun exposure, or smoking can all shorten how long the results from SkinTyte last and should be avoided.

Are there contraindications to the SkinTyte treatment? SkinTyte is safe for a wide variety of patient types. However, we do not recommend this treatment for patients who are sensitive to light; taking antibiotics known to increase sensitivity to sunlight; taking Accutane/isotretinoin; are pregnant; have an active infection or compromised immune system, or have a history of keloid scarring.
