PRX PROFESSIONAL™ TREATMENT: Post Treatment Instructions
To maximize your results and minimize the risk of side effects, please carefully follow these aftercare guidelines.
GENERAL AFTERCARE
Cleansing: Wash your face gently with a mild, non-exfoliating cleanser and lukewarm water for the next 48 hours. Pat dry; do not rub.
Moisturization: Keep the skin well hydrated with a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer recommended by your provider.
Avoid Irritation: Do not use scrubs, exfoliating agents, retinoids, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, or other active products for at least 5–7 days or until cleared by your provider.
Makeup: Avoid makeup for 24 hours after treatment, or longer if the skin is red or sensitive. When resuming makeup, ensure brushes and sponges are clean.
Sun Protection: Strictly avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for at least 2 weeks. Use a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher daily, even indoors, as UV rays can penetrate windows.
Heat Exposure: Avoid hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, and very hot showers for 48–72 hours.
Exercise: Refrain from strenuous exercise and sweating for 24–48 hours, as this may increase redness and irritation.
Itching/Redness: Mild redness, dryness, or temporary darkening of certain areas is normal and usually resolves within a few days. Do not scratch, peel, or pick at your skin.

Avoid retinoids, acids, scrubs, exfoliants, or active skincare for at least 7 days or until cleared by your provider.

Light flaking or exfoliation may begin around days 3–5. Do not peel or pick at your skin.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Immediate: Brighter, more hydrated, smoother-looking skin.
Short-Term, 1–5 Days: Mild redness, dryness, or flaking may occur. Darker spots may temporarily appear as thicker skin exfoliates.
